Q: How did you lose weight? A: Eating healthy/clean food, portion control, and working out. No fad diets, pills, or deals with crossroad demons.
Q: “What workouts do you do?” A: I started out with an elliptical machine 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I then did Insanity twice. Now, I run (3-6 miles a day), use an elliptical, and also do about an hour of strength training. I do cardio 6 days a week and strength training 4-5 days a week.
Q: "What do you eat/how many calories?"
A: I do not count calories. I estimate I eat anywhere from 1500-2000 a day. I eat clean, healthy food - fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean meats. Though I am currently working on becoming vegan. I eat mostly organic foods.
Q: How can I remove fat from -insert body area here-?
A: You can’t spot reduce. The only way to get rid of fat is to do cardio workouts, which will
reduce your overall body fat. Strength training exercises will not burn the fat from that area,
it will only strengthen the muscle underneath the layer of fat.
Q: I am *insert height here* and *insert weight here*, should I lose weight? That's a personal choice and not my place to say. Love your body the way it is, no matter your weight! Health and happiness come before weight loss!
Q: How long will it take me to lose X amount of weight? A: 5-10 pounds a month is healthy weight loss. It usually comes off a lot faster in the beginning. Don't focus on the scale, focus on non-scale victories, measurements lost, how your clothes fit, how you look/feel, etc.
Q: Do you have stretch marks? Yes, they are very VERY faded though and hardly noticeable. I have them everywhere.
Q: Do you take any supplements?
Occasionally protein powder or gluten free/organic/vegan protein bars. Q: How often do you splurge? Once or twice a month, I eat whatever the heck I want.
Q: Did your boobs get really small after you lost weight/what's all this about breast surgery/etc?
Yes, I went from a 40F to a 32D. I am trying to get a breast lift/augmentation as my boobs are where most of my excess skin is. I have talked to a few plastic surgeons and the cost is going to be $9135.
Q: Do you have a lost of excess skin? A lot on my breasts, a bit on my stomach and some under my arms, but not too much! To prevent excess skin, it's best to lose weight at a healthy pace and it helps if you are younger/still have skin elasticity.
Q: How many tattoos do you have? Did they change/warp when you lost weight?
I have 8 tattoos currently, I want a ton more. No, they didn't warp negatively but they did get smaller.
Q: Do you have any piercings? My ears are stretched to 00, I used to have my belly button pierced but it rejected.
Q: What color is your hair/what hair dye do you use/etc?
Currently it is blonde but another favorite of mine is red. I bleach the blonde myself, when I go red I use L'oreal Hicolor Excellence Magenta.
